My final post!

So this time i'm going serius...

This is my final post! (If i past this subject) so there're a lot of things i have to talk about.

The first one, it's about my experience learnig English in this University. I have to say it was a really stisfied experience. In my school used to really push me to speak a lot. But in here really push me to write a lot and like i said the last semester i really learnt who to write, i really improved of that.

Talking about improved, i have to learnt technical english about my carrear, i promised me that last semester but this semester i have to do a lots of things so i forget that. I hope in summer i study this important part of english, because i know it would be neccesary in my future as a Pharmacist.

I think in this semester, i used a lot more the English. This semester i got a subject call Biology. When you're looking information about this subject in the internet you found a lot of good stuffs in English! the first time I had a hard time understanding what the internet said. But as long the time past i understand i little bit more!
Another thing when i watch a series i take away the subtitles so i can really improved the Spoken English.
I think in the Era we're living right know, even if we live in a Spanish- Speaking country, English is in every part. In the TV, in the Internet, in the foreign that come to visit or live here in Chile. We can't just simple get rid of that.

Change to my study programme.

Well... I really like my carrear, that is the reason why im here in the first place. But i really thought last year that thinks would be different. My things i would change to this carrear would be a lot:

The first one would be the curriculum, i would eliminated a lot of subjects that are really (sorry from the expression) a waste of time. Because you clearly see that some teachers don't like the subjects and the're doing it because some way the university force them to do it. But not all it is a bad thing, the other subjects are really important in my formation.

The second one, about workload anf lenght studies, i think spent from 8:30 a.m to 6:00 and sometimes to 7:00 p.m it's abussive. Studies proves that our concetration only last one hour and a half!! so all the day you suffer because you can't concetrated, because your concetration already gone at 9:00 a.m! it's abussive and torturer!! But not all the things are bad, i think University gives us a fair time to study, so i would not change that. I think i would change, would be not put so many subjects in one semester, right know i'm having 7 subjects!! it's to much and right know i feeling really tired and irritating with all the things i have to do for my 7 subjects!

The third one would be the Faculty Facilities, of course i think this faculty has to have a Casino, where the students could go to lunch.Maybe, if i could i would give it more green areas to this faculty, but i know it's really complicated to do that.

The fourth one, Use of Tecnology. I really think that i wouldn't change nothing from this point. The tecnology that exist right now in my carrear, i thinks it's really good. We don't have nothing to envy other university. But I would not oppose the arrival of more technology to this carrear.

The last one, but no least, Teaching methods. Well, here i have a lot to talk about. The first thing i hate about some teaching methods here in the university was some teachers (not all of them obviously) they treated people badly for the pure fact of not knowing some specific thing about his or here sunject. So the first semester in here i really suffer a lot. Because i studied a lot and some things i didn't understand and they shouted at me because of that. So i really thing that people don't understand with shouting and that's a really bad habit that some teachers NEED TO CHANGE.

Summer holidays

For this summer holidays i think i would pass all the summer in my city, Coyhaique.

I think i would spent the summer with my friends, my parents and many others person. With my friends we do a lot of things, like climbing, go to the lake, go to partys and many other things that the summer really pass super fast, sometimes i don't even realize who far pass!

The first day in Coyhaique i would sleep, of course, because i would be very tired. The others days i would really like go to the lake with my friends, maybe camping because i really like it. Then i would like to travel around the citys near Coyhaique, because they´re very beautiful and you can do a lot of extreme sports in there!! like rafting, climbing and many many others.
My dad really likes to travel, so maybe he would join me to this amzing activities. My mum maybe would be with me in the house, i think we would see a lots of movies and series together, because she really likes that and me to. And i hope in the night go to some party, wouldn't be so bad (jajajaja).
I think i would play a lot with my brother to, because i don't see him a lot in the year (because hi live in Coyhaique) so i would enjoy every second with him.

So i can't wait my summer start! i really wanna go him and enjoy my city!

Pets

I always considered myself a pet lover. Since i was a little girl i always had like a lot of pets in my house. Hamster, rabbits, cats, dogs and many other animals lived with me. But since i was like in 8 grade i only live with this 2 wonderful creatures.
I have 2 pets. A dog and a cat. They don't live with me here. They live with my mum, but really love them.

My dog's name is Tomi. He's a Puddle. My dad gave to me this puddle for my birthday like 3 years ago. He was a puppy when he arrived at my house. He is very loyal, cute and all the time he's smiling. I really don't know what i would do without Tomi. Since i live here in Santiago i really miss him a lot, sometimes i really feel alone and think about him make me really happy because i know he definitely would be by my side all the time if he would live here in Santiago.
My cat name is Michelle. She arrived at my house in 2011. I was like 13 or 14 years old. She is so independent but i love her to. When she needs love she came to me and i snuggle her. Then when she bored, she just go away. When she needs food, she star to scratch me. She is the representation of Independent love. I miss here a lot to, she and Tomi are always make me company and make me really happy. So it's hard be away from them.

Postgraduate Studies.

This is my first year in the university. It has been a little bit complicated for me so right now i'm not thinking about studying in the future a Postgraduate. But if in 6 or 7 years more i decided to do a postgraduate course it would be about "how pharmacy works in a hospital".

In my last post i already talk about how awesome would be for me work in a hospital. I read that in Spain has the best course about how farmacy work in a hospital. So i would really like to travel to Spain and also because i really like traveling, so it would be such and awesome opportunity. I think i would have to finance my postgraduate studies, because i don't know if is exist a scholarship that would finance my studies.

My ideal of a perfect Postgraduate Course would be like having class since 8 A.M to 1 P.M and later have the rest of the afternoon free. I would use that time to know the country where i suppose to be studying and in the night study the material of the class. Then when i finished the course i would like to return to Chile and spread my knowledge about Asistencial Pharmacy. Because in Chile the Asistencial Pharmacy it's starting and i think in 2017 this area of pharmacy it's so important for the health of people and for saving money for the government and i think the authorities doesn't give so much importance and i would like to contribute for the change of what Chilean public health need.

My Future Job.

In the future i would like to be working in a Hospital. So i can say that i would like more a indoor job. But not for much time, because i get bored really quickly of the routine. Why the hospital? Because since i was a child i always wanted to work in a Hospital. My dad is a nurse and i used to visit him almost every day when i was a child and since then i got in love of what people do to save other people, that feeling it's amazing.

I really like travel and know new places. I'm always saving money to travel to some place. But i really don't know if my career would allow me travel. So i hope my job gave me a really good salary. I think i would spend all my salary in travel. 

I would like to get a PhD, but a long time after i received my title. Because first i wanna save money and do others things not related with my career. Because i would spent 6 years (or maybe more) studying my career, i don't wanna be another 3 or 4 years studying (yes, i know i sound lazy but i wanna have a break from university). 

A school anecdote

When i used to study in Coyhaique in the playground we have a hill. So every winter, when it started to snow, we go and play every time in there. The most amazing game was go sledding down the hill. I remember one time, when i was like 6 years a kid older than me, he go sledding down the hill with a lot of velocity and he crush against a tree. The situation it's even funnier because at that time someone record his crush and unploaded it to youtube. At that time youtube just started to be a famous page, so everyone in Coyhaique saw that video. Everyone in the school talks about this kid (that i don't remember who was o even his face) but every one when they remember the episode they laught really hard, because it was a really funny situation.

Now they remove the video from Youtube, but i always remember that situation. It's a thing that i don't forget very easy. Because all the good and funny memories come from the big snow in Coyhaique.

Another band that i really like.

Well all the time i talk about my favourite band is Gun's n' roses. But i'm kind of bored to talk about them ALL THE Time. So today i gonna talk about another band i like a lot to and it's call "Pink Floyd".

Pink Floyd in there early years.

Pink floyd plays progressive and psychedelic rock. They're very cool because they have philosophical lyrics, very extended compositions and the had one of the most incredibly show alives ! The band is formed by 5 members. But the most famous (you might know) is Roger Waters and David Gilmour.

I don't remember exactly at what age i started to listen Pink Floyd. But my Uncle used to listen a lot Pink Floyd's music when i was a child. Then when i was a teenager my father started to listen a lot Pink Floyd every day, so i started to like it even more.

I really like Pink Floyd because it's the kind the music that i like but they have something different from the bands that please me. Like the way the play, the way that the compose music it's amazing! I regret a lot not to go to Roger Waters's concert when he came... So i'm waiting the next time he come to Chile.

The best concert ever.

In October of 2016 i went to the best concert ever. I saw my favourite band Gun's n' Roses for second time. I went with my best friend and his nephew . She bought me the ticket, so i always will be thankful for that.

Gun's n' Roses is an American band of Hard Rock. They had a lot of success in the 80-90's and later they Split. In 2016 they started a tour with the 3 originals members.

The October 29th of 2016 started with a very sunny day. At 11AM was like 24 degrees and we were waiting outside of the National Stadium for the concert. My friend and i bought a lot of food to spent the day waiting under the sun. At 1 PM the hot get worse, because know the temperature is 32 degrees.... 

At 5 PM finally the door of the Nacional Stadium open, so we run the fast as we could to get the best position. 

The concert started at 9PM exactly, when the musican started to play all the people start to push us, so meanwhile that was happen i lost my friend and his nephew.  So i was alone. In that moment the only thing i thought was to get closer to the musicans. So i started to push the people (sorry for that people) and get every time closer and closer... So finally i was like 1 meter from the guitarrist and i started to shout at him (because the music was really loud) to turn back to look at me and he saw me and with his hand he said "Hi". After that i faint because i lost a lot of oxygen. A guy helped me to get out of the crowd and hi give me water and i revived. After that i started to enjoy the concert and suddenly in the middle of the crowd i found my friend and his nephew.

I really enjoyed it because i saw my favorite band, i went with my best friend and we got a lots of beautiful moments (no so beautiful too) with her so definitely was the best concert ever. 

A Country i would like to visit.

The country i would like to visit is Bulgaria.

When i was like 13 years old i saw a programm about Europe and i don't know why i got in love of Bulgaria. The first thing that i like about this country is that they speak a really weird language. For me it was a mix of english, arabic, hindu and many others language. Then i learn  they speak there own language call "Bulgarian".

I really wanna go to Bulgaria because i think it would be a different experience. Because Bulgaria is a country different from Italia, Germany, Spain and many others. Because it bordered with Turkey, Greece, Romania, Serbia and Macedonia and they're culture it's really different from our culture. So i really wanna see something different.

The first thing i would do in Bulgaria: go to the beach in the Black sea. Because i love the beach and it's really cheap go there and everybody says that it's an amazing experience. Then i would like to know the capital of the city "Sofia" because it has really beautiful monument and for my opinion they bulgarian loves the theather and i really enjoy it.

I would like only visit Bulgaria. Because i wanna finish my studies here in Chile. Maybe who know in the future if i would be living in there....

My blogging experience

My blogging experience it's been great. I wrote about lot of themes that i liked it. I never had a personal blog before, because i never thought that anyone could ever read me. I really enjoy that people read me and make comments about the thing that i wrote every tuesday. Even i really like the extra activities we did in the class like "how much does it cost to travel to London" or "Calculate my carbon footprint" i really enjoyed the last activity because a normal person really don't know how much carbon footprint they had.

I really improved my grammar because i was really bad at it. My experience writing was amazing, i learnt a lot, i talk about a lot of interesting themes that i really enjoy , for example: movies, books, about my life even about a volumetric flask! i hope in the future still writing my block and talking about things that i really enjoyed. 

In the future i would really like to learn more technical english about chemistry, because i think i don't know to much. Sometime when i read some chemistry, physics, and many others books i really don't understand the technical things. I had to look forward and it's a kind annoying.

In the next semester i would like to talk about Arts (because i really like arts even i'm not really good at drawing, painting and many others things), chemistry, about my experience here in Santiago, the people i know here and many others things.

From the invisible to the visible world and back.

Since i was 14 years old i got in love of science . Today i'm gonna talk about a really cool instrument the "Volumetric Flask"

The volumetric flask it's a really cool instrument. They're manufactured for calibrated to contain a precise volume.

The volumetric flask are used in the lab for prepared precise dilutions. The volumetric flask are important in my career because if you work in the lab you might work a lot with precise solutions and you need this amazing instrument. Since i get in this career, in every lab i been we're always working with the volumetric flask.

I choose the volumetric flask because every person see this instrument as a "ordinary instrument" but for me isn't a ordinary instrument, it's a really important instrument that you need to work in the lab. Volumetric flask has a lot of certification that check there's that
amount of volume here and in China.

To be honest, i don't know the future that the volumetric flask can have. Because i don't think this instrument develop. But for every precise experiment  of volume you always need right next to you a great volumetric flask.

I learned about him in the school. I was in 9th grade when i used it the first time. It's was a chemistry class and we used it for prepare a solution of salt and water. At that time i found that an amazing thing!

I don't know if the volumetric flask has a impact direct to the welfare of humans. But it had a really great impact in the scientific that may used the volumetric flask, because i'm sure he would have an amazing experiment.

I think i only speak before about advantages of this instrument but i don't talk about the desadvantages. I think the only desadvantages this instrument could had is that only works for volumetric things. But it's the only one desadvantages against a lot of amazing things!

The most enjoyable subject is Chemistry.

When i was 14 years old i got in loved of chemistry. That's the main reason why i choose this career.

The chemistry from the university it's a little bit difficult from the chemistry from school. But i liked. I like the way that chemistry explains the universe, how a little thing like a electron made lot of things. Since march i learnt lot of things. Like mathematical equations of a electron, chemical bonds, stoichiometry and many other things!

In class i pay attention, i really enjoy chemistry's class. Some of them are boring, but i always learn something new. I take a lot of notes with all my ideas because i always forget all the things. So my notes always remember what i was learning. Sometimes i made a lot of questions, because i don't like to keep the thing that i don't know. I think i really like learn things, because knowledge it's a great key for everything.

The chemistry's teachers are great. I think they have a lot of knowledge and they share with us. They're important because after all they motivated us to continue in the career and learn every day more and more.

We're a lot of people in the chemistry class. We're like 70 persons.

Most of chemistry's class are theoretical. The practical of chemistry class are another subject called " techniques of chemistry lab". It's amazing what i'm about to say, but i'm not really good at the lab. I always makes mistakes. I'm very good with the theoretical chemistry, but i'm awful with the practical chemistry.

Chemistry is the best subject in the world. Like i said before, it surprise me they way that chemistry explains the world. Maybe i'm not very good at the lab. But i like it. It's amazing to see how the theoretical things that i learn in class it happen in the real life. And i think chemistry isn't that difficult. To me every success that happen in the world it's chemistry. For example Physics, it's difficult to me. Because physic's thing happen like in special situation that you don't see in real life most of the time. But chemical reaction, electron "jumping" from stages to another and another .We "see" that things every day at every moment. I think that's the reason why i love chemistry.

The person I admire on my field.

I admire a lot Maria Salomea Sklodowska. Better know as Marie Curie.

Maria Salomea Sklodowska better know as Marie Curie.

He was born in 1867 in Varsovia, Poland. She was a pioneer of the radioactive's field. She and her husband make a lot of advance on the radioactive's field. Inclusive, she was the first women to be a teacher in the University of París. She won two times the nobel prices. The first one was in 1903 and the other one in 1911. The first one was a nobel of physics and the other one was for Chemistry.  She was the first women that won that price in that categories. Sadly she died in 1934 from aplastic anemia believed from his years on the radioactive's lab. Because in that time they didn't know the consequences of radioactive.  

Marie Curie mad a lot of things. I think the great "work" se made that she and her husband were the pioneers of radioactive, they discover 2 elements (Radio and Polonio) .Marie and her husband change a lot the Chemistry.

Maybe if you don't see only the chemistry part, Marie Curie was a great women. She was an icon of science and society. She works a lot to be the great scientist she was. It's incredible how poor she was, that se keep studying and to overcome to be a great person. There were days when she didn't even eat and she faint. But she was keeping studying and studying until she was a incredible women. I think that is the reason why i admired a lot this women. Because she didn't had nothing and gets everything she ever imagine only with her smart and constancy. She aspirated me to be a great scientist every day.  

My Favourite book and film.

I always like a lot the movies and the books. Both are great masterpiece.....

My favourite book it's " 100 años de soledad". Before i read this awesome book, i didn't like so much the "Realismo mágico", but then i read this book and my opinion change. Garcia- Márquez it's a real genius. The way he wrote all the success than happen in the book, the way that he keep us intrigue in the Buendia's Family story... It's awesome!! no one cant do it better that him. I think one of the reason why i love this book it's because it has awesome random stories that complement the initial plot. Every person in the world has to read this book before they die. It's a masterpiece. And i recommend a 100%

My favourite movie for sure, it's "Pulp Fiction". Since i had 14 years old i like a lot Quentin Tarantino's movies. He is literately crazy. He always blow my mind with his movies. I think i like his movies because they doesn't have like a " normal sequence" and always had a random story with the initial plot ( like "100 años de soledad"). And at the end of every movie, you're like " What just happen?" And for me that's a incredible feeling.

Why i like more Pulp Fiction? i think the only reason why i love more Pulp Fiction more than other Tarantino's movies it's because the first movie i saw of him was this one. Because every Tarantino's movies it's different from the other.

The main actress of Pulp Fiction ( Uma Thurman) was nominated to an Oscar. But she didn't win.

If you ask my opinion, if you don't like the "Normal sequence" of a commune movie, you don't like the typical characters that a movie had, or maybe if you like a little bit the action movie's. I recommend a 100% all the Tarantino's Movies. I saw all of his 8 movies, and all of there didn't disappointing me.

A Photograph you like.

My favorite photograph it has to be this one. A picture from Santa Lucia's hill from 1983. I really don't know who took this picture ,but the day i meet the person how took this wonderful picture, she or he would have all my admiration. Because it's the picture of one of my favorite places.

 One day i was on Facebook and a friend send this picture .The first moment i saw i got in love of it.

Since i was a little girl, every time i had the opportunity to go to Santiago, the first stop was "Santa Lucia's Hill". I really like this hill because it's had a lot of history.

 When Pedro de Valdivia arrived in Chile, he went to the top of Santa Lucia and from there he start the foundation of this big city "Santiago".

The hill has a lot of beautiful places, like the castles, the viewpoints, and many others.

Why i like this picture a lot? Because it represent a 100% the way i look this wonderful hill. If you see this picture, you look all the vegetation, the castles, the magnificent entrance from the street "Alameda". And it had a really cool retro's effect.

When i moved to Santiago, i used to go almost every Friday to the hill with my fiends. But i have a Social review to made. The hill change a lot since i was a kid, people destroyed a lot this wonderful hill. Now, for example, you go to a viewpoint and it has a really awful smell, it's all neglected, with out life. I think we have to take care this Heritage of Chile. Because all started at here!!! in this Hill all the history of Chile started.

Music in my life.

My favorite kind of music is rock. My first encounter with this type of music was when i was 12 years old. The first band i ever heard was "Gun's n' Roses" since then it become my favorite band. I really like this band, i been in 2 of the 3 concerts they did in Santiago (The fist one was in 1992, i didn't even born).

I play the piano, but i not very good at it. I always wanna to play the bass, but i never could afford one so i never learn. Maybe one day, i would have the money to buy one and learn how to play it... Why the bass? because when i was 13 years old i get a crush on Duff McKagan (the bass player of gun's n' roses) then, i started to listen more bands and realized that what bass's players does was very difficult, the do with 4 string what guitar do with 6!!  My uncle plays the guitar very good, he's like me, he likes rock, so he is always playing some riffs from some greats band like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and another. Also he play's the piano, the bass, the drums... he's really great musician. All my friends plays one instrument and they´re really good at it.

When i was younger i used to listen a lot of pop, my favorite singer before gun's n' roses was Michael Jackson. I think he's the most amazing performance that ever existed in this world. I think at my 19 years old i remember all the letters of his song. Now at 2017, i can say that my favorite music is rock but i not gonna lie, i listen  every type of music from classic music to techno. So i don't have like a    " type of music i don't like" because i think that every type of music is awesome.

I think movies are amazing, but the best parts of movies are definitely the music. It brights all the exciting of the movie. For example, if you want a happy scene, you just only put a happy song or maybe if you wanna do a intriguing scene, you just only put some scary music. I think the best example of what i'm saying is the movie "Psycho" and the scene where the lady is stabbed in the shower, the music that the director puts represent a 100% the feelings of the lady.

The other day i saw a movie called "The hateful 8" and i really love the music from the begging. So i will put the scene so you can see it.

My favourite piece of technology.

My favourite piece of technology definitely is my smartphone. 

My first cell phone i got it when i was 13 years old. I used to have a hello kitty's cell phone, it was amazing! In that time, I only used my phone to call my parents. Then when I turned 16 my parents bought my first smartphone.

I can’t live without my smartphone, I use it 24/7 , I have to admitted. It’s the best tool in the world. I can use from different things. For example, my smartphone has a really good camara and i takes a lot of pictures every day and the most amazing thing that it has is a application that tell me how far away is my bus from the bus stop!! I really like my smartphone because it has everything i need . And i thing now my smartphone helps me a lot to communicated with my family that live far away from Santiago. Because, i can call my parents any time i wanna it, then i can call it to from "Skype" and we can have a video- call for free. I thing that is the most amazing thing that my smartphone can do for me, and that's the reason i love my smartphone. 

Life without smartphones i think it would be very difficult, because now at 2017 you can look forward information, music, arts, movies, photos, clothes, make up, ex- class mates and so on. It's a breakthrough for the world what can smartphones can do, you can do everything just a click from distance. 

Why did i choose this career?

When i was 9 years old my only dream was become an actress. In that time i realized that acting was a escape from reality, because i didn't like school. So every time i had to escape from class and going to act it was very satisfaced to me. 

Then when i was in 9th grade i met the "sciences", my hole life change in that time because i devolved a love to Chemistry. It was a really big change for me, because school never interested me until i meet the Chemistry. I started to study a lot and learn about more and more about this new "universe" a was learning. So when i was 14 years old  i decided i had to study something with Chemistry. But then i was in a crossroads, because i really like acting but science took me a lot of time.

When i graduated i didn't know what to study, if something with acting or something with chemistry. So i decided not going to university that year and thing about more my future carrear. That year helped a lot because at November a realized what i wanna to study... I told my self " I wanna to be a Pharmacist from the University of Chile. Because the carrear has a lot of Chemistry and i always wanna to study in that University".

I really like the University of Chile. A have lots of friends, the teachers are very intelligent and the labs are very cool. My grades isn't the best, but the most important thing is that i'm learning a lot. At the moment, my experience at this university is been amazing. 

At the future i would really like to work in a Lab because i like the lab's world, it's amazing. Or maybe in a hospital. But i really like more the lab, but you never know what future brings to you. So i only have to wait.                    

  

Getting to know each other.

Hi! My name es Pía Aguirre Carreño. I'm nineteen years old. I lived my hole life in a beautiful city called "Coyhaique".

Coyhaique is a very far away city from Santiago, to be exactly is 1300 km from it. I decided to come and live in Santiago because in Coyhaique doesn't have a University, so when i turned 18 i moved by myself to Santiago Center. My parents and my brother stays in Coyhaique. The first month living alone was awful, because i didn't know who to cook, who to organize my money and others thing you have to worry when you live along. Then, after a few mouths, i learnt how to live alone. I started to organised my money, my food and the most amazing thing that happen to me in that couple of months: "I learnt how to cook". 

I have one brother, his name is Felipe. He is only one year old. He was born when i was seventeen years old. He is a really nice baby, we always play together and we are always laughing. My dad called Silvio, he is a really great person, i don´t know what i would do without him because he always support me in every aspect of my life. My mom called Ana, she is the most beautiful women i ever seen and she has an amazing personality. 

In 2017 i get in the "University of Chile". It's the University i always wanna to get it, because it has every thing i every want it. Like amazing teachers, lots of people from different part of Santiago and Chile and a lots of other things that excited me every day !!
